València is the capital city ofthe autonomous communityof València in Spain.Situated in the centre of thecountry onthe edges of theWestern Mediterranean Sea;it isbuilt on the ancient Greek and Roman site of “Valens”.With aradiant climate and a unique gastronomic tradition since timehonoured，València is one of the most liveable citiesin Spain.
With approximately 810，000inhabitants in 2009，València isthe third largest city of Spain.It ispart of thepolycultural area of theValencian Country，one of the 43 Spanishofficial languageareas.A city of remarkable architectural richnessand diversity，València isclassified as an “Globalcity” by Globalization andWorld Cities ResearchGroup.
